This rear brake drum allows later Beetle and Karmann Ghia models to use wheels with a Porsche-style 5×130 PCD while retaining the original-style rear drum brake arrangement.
The 5×130 wheel pattern provides access to a wide range of compatible Porsche and aftermarket wheels without requiring separate wheel adaptors. The drum is designed for the later long spline rear axle arrangement used from 1968 onwards.
