The revolutionary FLAT4 Electric Air Conditioning Kit preserves the original look of your engine bay while eliminating power loss by not relying on engine power.

This kit includes the Dual Fan evaporator and is compatible with both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles. 

Unlike conventional air conditioning kits that use belt-driven compressors installed in the engine bay, the Electric Air Conditioning Kit features an electric compressor that can be mounted anywhere, ensuring a clean engine bay appearance without compromising maintenance access.

Compatible with 12V T1 Beetle, and Karmann Ghia models.

Important Requirements:

– Requires a 90-amp alternator. Sold separately
– Requires 3x cans of R-134a refrigerant gas. Sold separately.

Please note: Drilling may be required for hose routing.

The compressor included in the Electric Air Conditioning Kit uses a different type of oil to that used in belt-driven compressor kits. Therefore, an evaporator previously used with a belt-driven compressor is not compatible and cannot be reused with this system – a new evaporator must be used.

Additionally, the evaporator will not function correctly unless the vehicle’s electrical system is in excellent condition. If wiring has deteriorated or if the vehicle body prevents a reliable earth connection, cable replacement or full rewiring may be required. A new battery is also recommended.
