Beetle & Splitscreen Late to Early (5×205 PCD) Drum Axle Spacer Conversion Kit

These spacers are for converting a 4 stud beetle gearbox to wide 5.

To fit, remove the castle nut on your rear axle and then the rear drums, fit 1 thin spacer onto the drive shaft then install the pre-67 (5 x 205 PCD drum), fit the thick spacer next. Finally refit the 36mm hub nut , torque up and re-install a new split pin, repeat on the other side, that is it.

Advantages to fitting:

• Run the wide 5 stud pattern on late axles
• Use wider late shoes with better braking force.

If using early pre 1966 T1 Beetle drums you will find they use smaller M12x1.5 wheelbolts .
If installed on a T2 Split Screen, you can tap the to M14x1.5.
