Description
What is this part called?
1961-1972 Beetle / 1960-1967 Split Screen Gearbox Nose Cone Gasket
What does this part do on a VW?
This gearbox nose cone gasket fits between the gearbox casing and the nose cone, creating the seal between the two mating surfaces.
A damaged, compressed or incorrectly sized gasket can allow gearbox oil to seep from the nose cone joint, so replacement is recommended whenever the nose cone is removed during gearbox servicing, rebuilding or repair.
This is a brand new production gasket manufactured to the original OEM specification, including the correct 0.25mm material thickness.
