What does this part do on a VW?
This original VW rear stub axle forms part of the IRS rear hub and driveshaft assembly. It passes through the rear wheel bearings and provides the connection between the rear hub or brake assembly and the CV joint.
This is an original VW component rather than a reproduction part, making it ideal for restoration, replacement or IRS conversion work where genuine factory components are preferred.
The part has also been through a blacking process to provide additional surface protection and help improve resistance to corrosion during storage and service.
