What does this part do on a VW?
This original VW spindle nut fits to the right-hand front spindle on early Split Screen models and forms part of the front wheel bearing and hub assembly. It is used to retain the front hub and wheel bearing assembly in the correct position on the spindle.
This right-hand spindle nut features an M22 x 1.5 thread and is used as part of the original twin-nut and locking washer arrangement fitted to early Split Screen front hubs. Two spindle nuts are used on the right-hand spindle with the locking washer positioned between them.
This is an original VW component rather than a modern reproduction. Each part has been cleaned and put through a blacking process to improve corrosion resistance and help increase the longevity of the original component.

OE part number 211-405-671 is used for the corresponding left-hand spindle. As this is an original refurbished VW component, minor cosmetic marks and signs of its previous service life may be present. The part has been through a blacking process to provide additional corrosion protection and help extend its usable life.
