Classic Aircooled VW Complete T1 Gearboxes parts by Limebug

Reconditioned stock gearbox/ transaxle.

Common issues covered as part of recon:

  • Popping out of gear under load
  • Grinding when changing or engaging gears
  • Reverse not engaging fully
  • Whining
  • Input Shaft Leaks

All boxes are thoroughly stripped, cleaned and internally inspected prior to reconditioning.

Price is guideline only as each gearbox is unique in terms of the workload and parts required.

Each recon gearbox carries a 12 Month warranty T&C's apply.

Price shown is based on an exchange (recon) basis, price is subject to fluctuation due to the variance of issues and costs of rectification.

Important: Once receiving a recon unit back from our workshop, gear oil must be added within the first 2 weeks of receipt

Courier Details

All gearboxes are subject to a palletised shipping charge which is calculated upon the provision of the delivery address to us – there is no exclusions for orders placed via the website. Any web orders will still require palletised shipping charges to be paid. 

We require a core gearbox from yourself prior to shipping out our reconditioned units. If this is not possible, a refundable core charge will be applied – this can vary depending current market for available cores to us.

You can arrange your own collection/delivery of reconditioned units & cores but we will not be deemed liable for any damages in transit via services not provided by ourselves.
