This oil pressure relief valve spring forms part of the engine’s oil pressure regulation system on aircooled VW Type 4 engines.
The spring works with the oil pressure relief valve to help control oil pressure within the engine. A weakened, damaged or incorrect spring can affect the operation of the relief valve and may contribute to incorrect oil pressure.
This is an ideal replacement when rebuilding or servicing a Type 4 engine oil system where the original spring is worn, damaged or no longer within specification.
