Description
What is this part called?
Beetle /Ghia Full Flow Oil Return Adapter For Engine Case – Replaces Oil Pressure Relief Valve.
What does this part do on a VW?
This oil return adapter replaces the factory oil pressure relief valve components (spring and plunger) in the crankcase, allowing the installation of a full-flow oil system without machining the engine case. It redirects oil flow externally, enabling the use of additional components such as external oil filters and coolers.
This is a popular modification for improving oil filtration and cooling on performance or rebuilt air-cooled Volkswagen engines. It simplifies the conversion process by utilising the existing oil gallery, making it possible to upgrade lubrication without complete engine disassembly.
