This CSP Products disc brake system is designed especially for all Type-2 Bus (Split Screen and Bay Window) from build year February 1955 to 1970 with original 15'' or 14'' steel wheels. But it can also be used with most of the aftermarket 15'' wheels. Based on the unmodified axle components the CSP Products disc brakes are mounted to the original spindles by CNC machined adapters. There is no need to modify or alter the spindles, which makes it easy to swap back to the original drum brakes if requested.
The CSP disc brake is basically a hub/disc combination and its ingenious construction makes it applicable on every Bus with stock 5×205 PCD drum brakes. CNC machined, heat-treated die-cast aluminium hubs accept discs made in Germany with a diameter of 262×13 mm through high-strength adapters. The modified floating calipers are also from a renowned mass production manufacturer.
Various sets are available, all matching Split Screen and Bay Window Buses: Solid discs and cross drilled solid discs, for early and late spindles!
Every kit contains CNC machined cast alloy hubs with rotors and wheel bearings installed, CNC machined caliper brackets, new calipers with pads, stainless steel grease caps, stainless steel dust covers (if applicable), brake hoses, all necessary mounting material, and fitting instructions in English and German. You just have to purchase the wheel nuts and the master cylinder separately, based on the model of your Bus.
