The Limebug skid plate is a fantastic addition to any Beetle or Ghia. Compatible with either Link Pin or Ball Joint chassis, they provide great protection to the frame head and underside of your vehicle by deflecting objects/debris away from the undercarriage. This then prolongs life to the vehicle’s underside – which in turn reduces costs to any damages to the underside that may be caused by not running a skid plate. Definitely a product to bear in mind if your vehicle is low or you encounter uneven terrains frequently. The full range of skid plates still give access to adjusters if fitted to the beam, ensuring you still have maximum capabilities over any required height adjustments.
All skid plates are provided with two extended frame head bolts and washers. (Only components required to fit! See how easy to install below)

Sawtooth Skid Plate
Unique in design our original skid plate features a steep ramped front edge to deflect the road / debris away from your vehicle when running extra low. Protects your adjuster unit plus still allowing access for fine tuning; Rear edge design has a built in kick up to prevent catching when reversing, also allowing dirt, moisture and road debris to fall through the lower drainage holes Available in both Raw & Satin Black Finish | Gen-II Sawtooth Skid Plate
The Gen-II skid plate follows on from our original features of a steep ramped front edge to deflect the road and debris away from your beam when running extra low. It now features the elongated slot style holes and angled scoop design near the mounting position. Protects your adjuster unit as well as still allowing access for fine tuning while now with re-designed rear kick up for tighter fit an increased ground clearance. Available in both Raw & Satin Black Finish |
Minesweeper Skid Plate
The Titanium, Stainless or Mild Steel Minesweeper Skid Plate is the ultimate big show skid plate creating maximum sparks to your choice with easily serviceable design. Protects your adjuster unit whilst still allowing access through the front inspection panel.
Minesweeper plates are provided in Satin Black as standard.
The minesweeper features a totally unique pellet system with interchangeable bolts;
Once the pellets are worn through, simply remove the skid plate, unscrew the old pellets, refit the new. Also it is possible to mix and match to create multiple coloured spark trails.
