FLAT 4 Original 50’s, 60’s style Fan housing mount style oil filter is now available. This FRAM style oil filter was seen on early OKRASA and PORSCHE 356 engine.
All the detail, shape, press line, and bracket are identical to the old FRAM oil filter. We also include new German made oil lines with special banjo fitting adapters to install your oil filter. Flat 4 even made the oil return fitting in 2 styles to fit 25/36HP and 40HP-on VW engine cases. Now you can have the classic look of a vintage engine compartment and filter your oil.
Oil filter mounting bracket comes with 4 holes to mount it on the fan housing. You can also use the original ignition coil mount location for one of the bracket holes.
Inlet adapter is arranged to be used with original oil pressure switch and banjo fitting oil inlet line.
To ensure a leak free installation the oil inlet and outlet fittings are AN threads and fit tight in the oil filter housing.
For 25/36 HP engine cases, oil is returned to distributor clamp stud with our special adapter fitting. For the 40 hp-on engine cases it returns to GEN/ALT stand stud with a special adapter fitting, this is where the filtered oil returns to the engine.
