The Slammed Ultimate gives the same power improvements as the Ultimate but it has been lowered so that it will fit under the decklid of an unmodified Beetle and Ghia – it will also fit in a Bay and a Splitty. To fit the Slammed Ultimate kit to your engine you will need to be running an easy access alternator.
The Slammed Ultimate kit works well on engines ranging from 1600 to 2100cc and will more than double the power output of a stock 1600cc engine.(we are getting around 105BHP from a 1641cc)
The standard Slammed Ultimate kit includes the AMR500 supercharger connected to a genuine Weber DCOE 40 carburettor with an MST serpentine pulley system and comes complete with our 1 piece max boost outlet pipe (this is an upgrade option on the Ultimate). For all kits that we provide with a carb we can fit the jets that are most likely to be suitable for your engine spec. The kit includes all cables, belts, hoses, filters and all fittings required.
To run the Slammed Ultimate kit on your engine you will need an electric fuel pump and a crankcase oil breather – these can all be selected as part of your order if you do not already have them.
It is recommended to use this Supercharger kit with a 123 Ignition Tune + Bluetooth Distributor, with this distributor you can remotely assign the correct advance curve and fine tune the vehicle in a more accessible manor than the conventional distributor set-ups.
Please note: Never set the advance on your distributor to more than 20 degrees. In doing so could result in catastrophic engine failure. Always read the instructions to ensure the correct installation process has been completed. It is advised that all installations and tuning work is to be completed by competent aircooled specialists.
If your Beetle has been modified – shortened, lowered etc then you may need to fit a stand-off on the decklid latch.
