Description
1966-79 Beetle Ball Joint Air Ride Front Shocks, Pair
Classic Aircooled VW Shocks and Bags parts by Limebug
These air shocks work best with our Titan Beam range, you can also use these shocks on most aftermarket beams. If you intend to install them on an original Volkswagen beam you will need to do some clearancing to avoid the shocks rubbing through.
Works with stock Ball Joint style shock towered beams (eyelet upper, shock lower).
These shocks can be pumped up with a schrader valve, or alternatively we offer a range of adapters which allow the fitment of 1/4″ flexy line. These shocks are not suitable for the use on the rear of your vehicle.
Please note these do not work under any circumstance on T2 buses.
Options:
-Add air shock adapters which will take these from a 1/8″ line to a 1/4″ line.
MUST READ BEFORE INSTALLING!!!
When you first install your air shocks you must inflate them before dropping the vehicle down, if you do not do this the rubber sleeve will be forced inside the metal tube of the shock body. This will create a nick in the edge of the rubber bag meaning it will leak. You only need to do this on the first use as it will separate the bag from its manufacturer coating and unseal itself from the inner stem. ensure you have at least 10psi in before dropping.
